Do you accept credit cards?
Yes we do! In addition to cash, check, and credit cards, we accept Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Please note - processing fees may apply, please inquire when booking.

Do I need a permit from my local health department?
For new installations, yes. We will work hand in hand with your local health department to get you ready to go. We will meet them, if needed, dig your perc test holes, and stay in touch with them (and you) throughout the process
For septic repairs - most of the time you will need a permit but it does depend on the situation. Give us a call, or contact your health department for guidance

How much will a new system cost?
That's a tough one and one that we can't answer without additional info. Many factors play a role in the type of system you will need - from the type of soil you have, to location, to the number of bedrooms you will have. After the health department draws up your permit we can then get you an accurate quote.

What are some signs that my septic system is failing?
A lot of times your system will give some warning signs and sometimes it doesn't. Here are a few things to watch for:
Foul odors...your nose knows!
Are your drains backing up into the house?
Do your drains drain slowly? Do you hear gurgling noises?
Is there standing water or dampness near your tank or drain field?
These are all some warning signs that need your attention Please contact us to discuss next steps!

Does my contractor have to be licensed to install, inspect, or repair my septic system?
Yes! This is very important! You must be licensed in the state of N.C. to install, repair, or inspect septic systems! We are a Level IV installer (the highest level of certification you can obtain in N.C.) AND we are licensed inspectors.

My septic installer is a Level II installer...what's the difference?
Well...training! A level IV installer will go through more training and education than a level II. Plus...there's an exam for that level as well as an exam for an inspector. There is also more yearly education that is required. A level IV can install and/or repair any system in the state whereas there are restrictions and what one can and cannot do for lower levels.
You can see where your contractor ranks in the online listing provided by the NCOWCICB.

What is your service area?
We proudly service Spruce Pine, Burnsville, Bakersville, Little Switzerland, and surrounding areas. Call us to check our availability and to see if you are in our service area!

Should I get my tank pumped?
The EPA recommends getting your septic inspected every 3 years and pumped every 3 to 5 years. Good news...we do both!
There are some factors, such as usage and tank capacity, that may make you want to pump your more frequently.

Anything else I should know about getting my tank pumped?
We will make every effort to get your tank pumped. There are some issues that we may run into. Our truck will not go into your yard or grass for any reason. We will only park on pavement or gravel.
If your driveway is slick, difficult to see, not well kept, very steep, slippery, narrow, tight, or if we feel we cannot safely get to your tank we may have to decline or reschedule the appointment.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes we do!
